Trudeau Liberals Must End the WE Scandal Cover-Up

Michael Barrett, Conservative Shadow Minister for Ethics, and Pierre Poilievre, Conservative Shadow Minister for Finance, released the following statement today calling on the Trudeau Liberals to end the WE Scandal cover-up at the Finance and Ethics committees:

“For the past two weeks Liberal MPs on the Ethics and Finance committees have continued their cover-up in order to block the release of key documents related to the WE Scandal. The Liberals must immediately end their cover-up, release the documents, tell Canadians the truth and allow the work of Parliament to continue.

Trudeau & Freeland Break Canada’s Record for Longest Period Without Economic Plan

Hunting Season

It’s hunting season for the Trudeau liberals, and once again duck hunters and firearms sports enthusiasts are clearly in their sights.

Rather than concern themselves with something important like rising unemployment, the headline today from the State Broadcaster was a non-story about Conservatives imposing a deadline (a reasonable 6 months) on police bureaucrats to do their job.

By the time the CBC was done, with its predictable quotes from the usual stable of bias opinion, you would think your local sports store was importing rifles to arm gangs.

Veterans Information Service sponsored by Member of Parliament, Cheryl Gallant

On  Friday, November 7th our EDA President Geoffrey Roberts, together with Board Member June Anderson, and myself, attended in Petawawa, a seminar sponsored by Cheryl, our Member of Parliament.  It was a veterans information session, outlining programs available for returning veterans.

While 90% of veterans come home without any need from Veterans  Affairs, not all Veterans make a smooth transition and some become at-risk or homeless.  Our government has made a series of improvements to the Enhanced New Veterans Charter which provides a comprehensive suite of tools and help to meet their needs. Income replacement and other financial benefits assist veterans in their rehabilitation process.  In addition veterans and their families may benefit from a range of other programs offered by Veterans Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence.
